Children
Authentic North takes children from 8 years and from 130 cm tall, at the Ramfjordbotn camp and in the harbour. Those are the only tours here with a stated minimum age. 10XNorth and the Kaldfjord sauna name none on their product pages, so ask the operator before you book for a child. The harbour float is the shortest outing, two hours in the centre; the camp adds a pickup, a campfire and pastries.
Height and weight
Authentic North asks for at least 130 cm and no more than 150 kg. 10XNorth sets a range of 35 to 135 kg and names no height limit. The Kaldfjord sauna states no limits. If someone in your group is close to a limit, check before booking rather than at the shore.
Health and older guests
10XNorth has the longest list: no guests over 70 and no guests with heart problems, high blood pressure, back problems, limited mobility or impaired hearing, and no wheelchair users. The Authentic North product pages list no health exclusions, and the harbour float is even marked as wheelchair accessible; ask how getting into and out of the water works. None of the product pages mentions pregnancy, so ask the operator directly.
Non-swimmers
10XNorth and the harbour float state that no swimming skills are needed, because the suit keeps you on the surface. One guest at 10XNorth writes that not everyone in her group could swim and they still felt safe. The pages for the Ramfjordbotn camp and the Kaldfjord sauna do not mention swimming either way.
A child under 8 cannot join the Authentic North tours. With someone over 70 or over 135 kg, 10XNorth is out. In both cases the remaining option to check is the Kaldfjord sauna, whose product page sets no limits, so confirm with the operator first.
